Carpenter / Joiner

About the Role

Onpoint Trading Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join our construction team in Bolton. The successful candidate will carry out high-quality carpentry and joinery work, including the fitting of bathroom and kitchen units, worktops, doors, skirting, architraves, boxing-in, shelves, trims, and other associated joinery and finishing works.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and cut materials accurately to specification
• Read and interpret basic site drawings and instructions
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Complete work to a high standard of workmanship
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work cooperatively with site managers and other tradespeople
• Comply with UK health and safety requirements at all times

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, kitchen fitting, or bathroom fitting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional approach to work
• Experience in both first fix and second-fix work (advantage)

Qualifications

A relevant NVQ Level 2, or equivalent experience in Carpentry and Joinery, is preferred.

Salary & Sponsorship

This role is offered at £33,400 per annum minimum on a full-time basis. Onpoint Trading Ltd is a Home Office-licensed sponsor and may consider Skilled Worker sponsorship for a suitable candidate, subject to the role being genuine, the duties matching SOC 5316, and all Home Office requirements being met. The salary figure aligns with the current main-table rate for SOC 5316.
